SEJARAH
The Bachelor of Management Study Program, Faculty of Economics and
Business, Padjadjaran University has a goal to produce a quality
learning process according to the demands of international quality
standards, produce quality graduates who are able to compete in the
global job market and have a positive impact on sustainable national
development in the field of Management.
The Bachelor of
Management Study Program was established on September 18, 1957 with
Government Regulation no. 37 of 1957. Currently, it has an A
accreditation rating based on the Decree of BAN PT Number
2182/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/S/VII/2017.

Mission:
- Develop quality learning in the field of Management and Business and keep up with the times to produce graduates who have competence in the field of Management and Business;
- Develop research that focuses on issues of Management and Business development in local, national, and international scope;
- Carry out community service to support the learning and progress of science and technology for the academic community, government, industry, and society;
- Develop professional education management by applying quality assurance principles that can synergize stakeholder interests with educational objectives;
- Establish strategic cooperative relationships with the community, government, business and industry, educational institutions, and other universities both domestically and abroad on an ongoing basis by applying the principles of equality, partnership, and mutual trust
Objectives:
- Produce a quality learning process according to the demands of international quality standards;
- Produce quality graduates who are able to compete in the global job market and have an impact on sustainable national development;
- Produce research outputs of international repute, through a research process that encourages harmonious intellectual collaboration between lecturers and students;
- Increasing the use of research results in research-based learning processes to produce up-to-date learning materials in accordance with the state of the art in the field of Management and Business;
- Increase the number involvement of lecturers and students in community service activities that support scientific development and personality development in contributing to the empowerment of government, industry, and society;
- Implementation of an education management system that applies the principle of quality assurance of higher education, both in input, process, and output based on the vision, mission, and basic values of Padjadjaran University, laws and regulations, and internationally recognized education quality standards;
- The realization of partnerships with various domestic and foreign organizations for the benefit of providing internship opportunities and learning practicums, opportunities to conduct tri dharma cooperation, and research funding and scholarships for students.
Management is a process to achieve goals, which includes planning, organizing, directing, and controlling. Therefore management is used in all organizations to achieve its goals, both profit organizations (companies/business organizations) and non-profit organizations (government, social institutions, community organizations); in all sectors: banking, manufacturing, mining, trade, health, tourism, etc.; which are small, medium or large. Because it is very universal, many people feel the need to study management
In the Management study program, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Unpad, various courses will be studied that will develop students (students) to:
- Able to plan, organize, arrange staff, lead and direct others, and exercise control in managing a business and non-business organization.
- Able to carry out the tasks of functional managers (Marketing, Operations, HR, Finance) and entrepreneurship in a business and non-business organization.
- Able to solve operational and managerial problems, choose the best solution, and develop decision recommendations, and action plans by utilizing information and communication technology.
- Able to compile a business plan (business plan).
- Able to collect and process data and analyze relevant information in the research process.
- Able to understand theories, concepts, methods, and analytical tools related to managerial skills in the fields of Marketing, HR, Operations, and Finance.
In addition to academic development through lectures, FEB Unpad also seeks to develop the soft skills of students by developing The Champion Program to educate and develop students’ thinking skills so that they can compete in various competitions, both at national and international levels. Another thing that the Unpad FEB Management study program does in order to improve graduate achievement is to include Achievement and Internship courses as one of the mandatory courses for new students.
After
graduating from the Management study program FEB Unpad, the degree that
will be obtained for graduates is a Bachelor of Economics (SE).
